Product Support Specialist

We are currently hiring for an exciting opportunity to join our technical service center located in Samoa, CA. The position is full time and offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and future growth opportunities within the company. This position will provide technical support to consumers, growers, and retailers.

Candidates must have extensive knowledge about hydroponics, greenhouses, and indoor growing. This includes prior experience with NFT, DWC, Ebb and Flow, Aeroponics, and Drip systems, as well as a solid understanding of soil science and growing in containers. The ideal candidate should comprehend the importance of environmental controls, indoor lighting, disease and pest management, and plant nutrients.

Prior retail or wholesale experience is a plus. Qualified candidates must have experience in the gardening industry and excel in problem solving, possess excellent customer service skills, and have a willingness to learn.

Product Support Specialist Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

The Product Support Specialist is responsible for having an expert understanding of FoxFarm products and related use and a well versed technical knowledge of mainstream gardening practices and methods, hydroponics gardening practices, methods, and systems, plant life cycles and plant structure and soil structure.

Product Support Specialist Essential Functions:

  • Product Technical Support
  • Effectively answer questions related to company products, quality control, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve non-routine customer problems, complaints and concerns related to the use of company products.
  • Responsible for having an expert understanding of the content, function, and proper usage of all company products.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of company processes related to the production of all products.
  • Take appropriate response and action to resolve customers’ problems, complaints and concerns.
  • Communicate activities, concerns, trends, and any other reports to manager.
  • Maintain current, detailed and concise notes of activities, concerns, problems and complications, outcomes, and all other customer communication.
  • Maintain well-developed business communication and presentation skills.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness.
  • All other tasks as assigned.
