Specific Benefits
Happy Frog® Jump Start Fertilizer is formulated for use on transplanted seedlings and re-potted container plants. This proprietary mix of fertilizers supplies phosphorus which is necessary for root development. It also contains calcium which builds stronger cell walls, boosting the plant’s ability to resist disease. Mycorrhizal fungi are included to help increase root efficiency, which may enhance nutrient uptake and water absorption.

Garden Tips
For successful transplanting of young plants, hold gently to avoid crushing the stem and damaging delicate roots. Once transplanted, make sure to keep the soil moist. Note: Full sun exposure is best. If plants do not receive enough light, they can become spindly, lanky, and susceptible to disease. Early spring plantings that are subject to frost should be protected with a plastic cold frame cover.
For delicious vegetables: Supplement with FoxFarm Big Bloom® Liquid Plant Food Concentrate from the beginning of fruit development through harvest. Help conserve water and nutrients by mulching with your preferred FoxFarm soil conditioner.
Make a tea for deep root feeding: Add 1 cup Happy Frog® Jump Start Fertilizer per gallon of fresh water. Mix thoroughly and let stand for 24 hours. Strain solids out and apply tea at 1-2 cups per plant. For larger plants apply 2-4 cups of tea. Mulch the solids around the root zone of established plants.
