SALAMANDER SOIL® WATER HOLDING POTTING MIX

EXTRA! EXTRA! HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWTS? READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!

A trek through the Giant Redwood Forests of the Pacific Northwest is refreshing and magical.  Mother Nature holds many secrets within these forests unless you know where to look.  Hidden under the camouflaged logs and tucked away in this sacred realm is a special creature luxuriating in a sweet moist environment.  The smooth shiny Salamander is a true delight of Nature.  These beautiful little creatures come in a bright kaleidoscope of colors and call these forests their home.  Salamanders always find the right habitat to flourish in.  We have created our water holding Salamander Soil® Potting Mix so that your plants can moisturize in the same way as this special animal.  Your precious little seedlings and plants will have access to the benefits of a potting mix full of NEWT-tritive properties.

HYDRATION OF THE NATION

Under the right moisture conditions beneficial microorganisms can flourish and NEWT-trient uptake may be enhanced.  Plants that are grown in hot climates need that extra thirst quench so that they can stay vigorous and not get stressed from drying out.  The inconvenience of frequent waterings is sometimes problematic for growers who just can’t get to their plants in time.  Moisture has to be accurate; too much will cause root rot and plants will suffer.  Use Salamander Soil® Potting Mix for rooted cuttings and young plant starts for both indoor and outdoor cultivation.  Plant directly into Salamander Soil® Potting Mix.

HOW TO USE

CONTAINER GARDENS:  Cover drain hole with small rocks or a small shard of broken pottery to ensure good drainage.  Add enough Salamander Soil® Potting Mix so the plant sits at the correct level.  Fill in around root mass up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) from top of pot.  Press gently to secure plant.  Water thoroughly and let drain.  Do not pack too tightly.  Add more if necessary with settling.  For re-potting plants, select a container one or two sizes larger than the one being replaced.   Loosen roots from the root mass and use the same procedure as above.

HOUSEPLANTS:  Water thoroughly after planting.  For best results, feed regularly with FoxFarm Grow Big® and Big Bloom® Liquid Plant Food.

TREES, SHRUBS AND ROSES:

Select a container 2-3 times the diameter of the plant’s root mass and 3-6 inches (7.5-15.25 cm) deeper.  Fill the container so that the root mass is positioned at the correct height.  Secure plant in place while adding more Salamander Soil® Potting Mix around the root mass until the container is almost full.  Press firmly around perimeter of the plant and water thoroughly.  Do not pack too tightly.  Fill container to the top and water again.  Feed regularly with FoxFarm fertilizers.

STORAGE: Keep in a cool, dry place.  Do not expose to excessive heat or direct sunlight.

EXPIRATION DATE: For maximum microbe activity use within two (2) years from the manufacturer’s stamped date.

Keep out of reach of children.  Harmful if swallowed.  After using this product, always wash hands and exposed skin with soap and water.
